Remember

Gathering at downtown St. Marc, January 2010

Gathering at downtown St. Marc, January 2010

“Look at the nations and watch—

and be utterly amazed.
For I am going to do something in your days
that you would not believe,
even if you were told” (Habakkuk 1:5).
As we remember the earthquake anniversary, we pray for the people who never saw family members again.  We pray for community to come around those who fled the city in the months afterwards.  However, we also pray for God to again wake up the people to his power and care.  This scene in downtown St. Marc is from when the believers gathered to pray for their country days after the quake.  May God keep that spirit of unity as we remember.

Completion

Outdoor Auditorium (behind the completed building) at Bois Neuf, St. Marc, Haiti.

As seen at http://emevi.blogspot.com/2012/07/completion-bring-it-on.html

“Lord our God, all this abundance that we have provided for building you a temple for your Holy Name comes from your hand, and all of it belongs to you. I know, my God, that you test the heart and are pleased with integrity. All these  hings I have given willingly and with honest intent. And now I have seen with joy how willingly your people who are here have given to you.” 1 Chronicles 29:16-17

David handed the blueprints to Solomon, and prayed for the completion of the temple. God provided the resources for a safe place for the Israelites to come. God will do the same for the Haitians at Bois Neuf. Although the building is not complete, we have faith he will supply the three tresses needed. He will provide a safe place that will shield his people
from rain and sun. Will you echo David’s words and joyfully praise God for this outdoor auditorium?
